hi - just curious about how you all are making it - you working some shitty job?

I have one of the best jobs ever!!!!! I am the Corporate Liquor Manager for a Northwest Brewpub chain that has 53 locations scattered across Oregon and Washington. My job consists of buying liquor for the Company, conducting liquor education and training for newly hired folks, setting liquor prices and inventing drink specials. The real kicker is that I frequently meet with Liquor Distribution Company sales reps who wine me, dine me, and toss bottle after bottle of free booze my way in hopes of convincing me to purchase their products. I get to go to a lot of parties and ball games too. I know, I'm showing off. I'll shut up now.

for my job, i need to come up with a couple dozen drink ideas for spring/summer.

i need some fruity, tropical type shyte.

i have quite a few that i've concocted myself, but being mainly a beer/whiskey sort of fella, my imagination is running a little thin when it comes to the frooty dpt.. any ideas?

I came up with one that I named "The Pink Pucker":

1 Shot Finlandia Cranberry Vodka

3/4 Shot Sour Apple Pucker

Freshly squeezed juice of 1/2 grapefruit

3 oz Cranberry Juice

Top with 7-Up

serve in Pint glass packed with ice

This drink makes girls' clothes fall off.

Thanks for all the cool ideas! The biggest problem I'm facing is that they all have to be original/unique recipes. long Islands and Cuba Libres are out, I'm afraid. I was a bartender for over 10 years and have a lot of drink recipes memorized, it's just difficult to come up with something new.

Here are some of my ideas, tell me what you think:

Snickers Martini:

1/2 Shot Baileys Irish Cream

1/2 Shot Grand Marnier

1/2 Shot Amaretto

1 Shot espresso

Shake with ice

Strain into chilled cocktail glass

Garnish with sprinkle of cocoa powder

Persimmon Blossom:

1 Shot Pear Brandy

Juice of 1/2 Lemon

3/4 oz. Simple Syrup

Top with apple juice

Serve in Collins glass packed with ice

Raspberry Beret:

1 Shot Light Rum

1/2 Shot Chambord Raspberry Liqueur

Juice of 1/2 lime

Scoop of Raspberry Sorbet

Blend all ingredients until smooth

Serve in Hurricane Glass

Garnish with whipped cream and a fresh raspberry

just a few of my own inventions, any thoughts?

These drinks are going out to 67 different bars, so they gotta be top-notch.
